Starting your own affiliate program can be a great way to increase traffic and sales. Basically it means that you set up a system, for paying other sites a commission, for helping you achieving your objectives (for example: increasing traffic or sales). Affiliate programs should hopefully be low risk, because set-up costs aside, you are usually only paying other sites for results. You don't pay unless you get results. There are several types of affiliate program in common use today:- WARNING: All types of program can be at risk of affiliate fraud (some sites may attempt to cheat) - so you need to keep careful track of what's going on, and spot the fraudsters.
